[ As they'd both wound up in the royal guard, it was only a matter of time before Prompto and Lena ran into each other again. He hasn't forgotten about her, his spunky partner in the training sim who had a fondness for firearms like he did, and he'd been eager to meet up with her again. Make sure she's settling in okay, shoot the breeze, maybe goof off a bit if it's a slow day.

So when he sees the patrol schedule and discovers the two of them are assigned to work together the next day, he's up all the earlier to meet her outside the guardhouse, warming up with his usual little jig of perpetual inertia. He can't hold still at the best of times, and today he's no better for his excitement to be working with her.

Aaaand as soon as he can spot her approaching, he's waving with his whole body in greeting. ]

He'll leave the amount of contact that she wants up to her. He has no idea what her thoughts about his fugitive status are, or how she'll react to him contacting her out of the blue like this. ]
